Telluride cabin rentals
The perfect stay in Telluride, Colorado
Nestled in the southern Rocky Mountains, this vibrant destination is a year-round attraction for skiers, music lovers and filmmakers alike, especially with a wealth of elegant chalets, cabins and Telluride vacation rentals on offer all year round. Starting life as a goldrush town in the 1800s, today it’s renowned for its festivals, restaurants, and exceptional winter sports facilities, thanks to those towering 14,000-foot peaks and deep powder snow.
The importance of Telluride as a mining centre led to it becoming a focal point for prospectors from around the world. The town’s historic importance has been recognised and it’s now classified as a National Historic Landmark and still sports authentic clapperboard storefronts and Victorian-era homes that have been beautifully preserved. Telluride’s arts scene is thriving, with Bluegrass music festivals, culinary exhibitions, and a film festival every year.
During the winter, the town turns into one of the USA’s premier ski resorts, offering exceptional slopes and challenging mountain runs as well as safe beginner’s areas lower down. A wealth of activities all year round make Telluride a fantastic destination for winter sports and summer family fun, and vacation rentals in Telluride are available for couples, families and larger groups.
- Ask your concierge to arrange a helicopter ski tour for an absolutely unforgettable experience.
- Spend a lazy afternoon exploring historic Main Street, wandering through the downtown area browsing the shops as you go.
- Play a round of golf at one of the highest-elevation courses in the world. Located 9,000ft above sea level, the Telluride Golf Club is a great place to enjoy golfing paired with stellar mountain views.

HOW TO GET THERE
Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport to your Telluride chalet.
- By plane Telluride Regional Airport is located just outside town with commercial flight connections to Phoenix in the winter, and Denver all year round. During inclement weather, flights are redirected to Montrose Airport, approximately 70 miles away to the north.
- By car Telluride is around 125 miles southeast of Grand Junction and takes around two and a half hours in good weather. The drive from Denver takes around six to seven hours but is well worth the road trip thanks to some of the most incredible views in the whole of Colorado. Avoid the traffic on the I-70 by taking Highway 285 through Fairplay and on to Gunnison and Montrose. If you are staying in one of our luxury Telluride cabins or chalets during the winter, it is essential to have 4WD and snow tyres as the mountain passes can be tricky.
LOCAL TIPS
- Telluride’s dry air can make you feel dehydrated, so make sure to consume lots of water during your trip.
- Remember to apply SPF regularly as the sun is stronger in Telluride due to the high altitudes.
- There is a complimentary gondola connecting Telluride with the nearby town of Mountain Village where visitors can enjoy the remarkable views.
