Rocky Mountain cabins
The perfect stay in Colorado
The rugged Rocky Mountains are as much a part of America’s culture as they are its landscape. Dramatic peaks blanketed in snow throughout the winter, incredible native wildlife, and a backdrop of the vast Great Plains make it one of the world’s most impressive destinations for an outdoor adventure. Experience its mesmerising beauty firsthand from the comfort of a cosy Rocky Mountain cabin rental in Colorado.
Family Vacations in the Rocky Mountains
The Rockies are where family vacations become lifelong lore. Wide-open greens in Beaver Creek and Steamboat are the ideal set-up for that first wobbly glide, and knowing you're supported by exceptional ski schools definitely helps. Meanwhile, Vail, Telluride and Breckenridge offer up wider runs for older kids looking to cement their skills, and maybe even outpace you by day three. The Rockies are designed for progression - so confidence can build with every run and hot chocolate becomes a much-loved ritual (rather than a bribe.)
Our curated selection of chalets are the cherry on top of your family ski vacation. From ski-in, ski-out chalets that simplify busy mornings to expansive mountain retreats with fireplaces and bunk rooms, each is chosen for its impeccable design and prime location. We can arrange lift passes, private instructors, equipment fittings, and grocery delivery, all before you arrive, with local hosts on hand for childcare recommendations, family-friendly dining, and in-the-know local guidance throughout your stay. Elevated, seamless, and entirely all about time spent together.
So much more than just a winter destination, you’ll find a bounty of activity options in the Rocky Mountains National Park over the spring and summer. Fly-fishing expeditions, breathtaking hikes, horse-riding adventures, and encounters with grizzly bears and mischevious elk can all be on your holiday agenda. The Rockies are very much intertwined with the country’s history, too. You’ll spot sites of famous Civil War battles, plus locations where you can learn all about the region’s indigenous roots and thrilling Gold Rush heyday.
When it comes to transportation, we've got everything covered. Just let us know your arrival time and location, and we can organise private airport transfers right to your door.
- Enjoy the adventure of a lifetime and arrive on the mountain in style by chartering a heliski helicopter.
- In winter, enjoy a sled ride through the winter wonderland led by a team of friendly husky pups.
- Make sure you take a dip in the region's numerous hot springs, the most relaxing après-ski activity.

HOW TO GET THERE
Make the journey as memorable as the arrival. Your dedicated concierge can arrange transportation from the closest airport or bus station to your Rocky Mountain chalet.
- By plane There are several international airports close to the Rocky Mountain National Park, including Denver. You’ll also spot smaller regional airports, such as Glenwood Spring Municipal Airport just northwest of Aspen, with private jet facilities. The easiest way to reach your Rocky Mountain chalet from your chosen airport is via a VIP car transfer arranged with your concierge.
- By car Hiring a car and setting off on daily road trips is a great way to see the Rockies, especially if you’re visiting outside of the ski season when there are various other activity options to enjoy. The roads are well-maintained and very scenic, although some are closed by late autumn and throughout the winter. Your concierge can help you book your car rental, whether you want a vehicle for your entire trip or just a few days.
- By bus The National Park Service runs free shuttle buses across the Rockies between May and October. There are three different routes which mostly cover the park’s eastern destinations. You could also hop on the Estes Park Shuttle (note that this is ticketed) from Denver International Airport and then arrange any onward travel from Estes Park to your ski resort.
LOCAL TIPS
- Always be respectful of the mountain wildlife and be sure to follow any local rules and regulations.
- Make sure to always have a water bottle on hand as it is easier to get dehydrated at high altitudes.
- Pack a lightweight outer layer or sweater even in the summer, as temperatures tend to dip dramatically in the evening.
