Introducing Noho
Before the last decade, the north of Houston Street area was a bit of a gritty no-man's land. Sandwiched between the legendary East Village and equally illustrious Greenwich Village, the locale that once housed Frank Stella and Keith Richards, had grappled with its place in an overpopulated downtown area for years.
These days, Noho has hit its stride, having attracted numerous cool inhabitants, such as creative geniuses Partners & Spade, Vitsoe, United Nude and fashion doyenne Zero Maria Cornejo, with its turn-of-the-century loft spaces and iron clad buildings. It has also established itself as a respected design locale, hosting its own showcase under the title, Noho Design District, for the last four years. The continued rejuvenation of the Bowery has boosted the neighborhood’s glamour factor too.
Fancy hotels like the Bowery Hotel and the Standard East Village, along with the flourish of cultish restaurants, like Il Buco, The Smile and Acme, repeatedly attracts a well-heeled, creative crowd on a regular basis. They’re all things that suit the real estate developers behind the multiplying amount of designer residences just fine.

Merchants House Museum
Hidden away off the busy Bowery, this gem of a museum is the oldest preserved residential home from the late 19th century in New York City. As close to a walk-in time capsule as you can get.
The Library at Public Theatre
Boasting moody interiors and a snack menu conceived by gastronomy hotshot Andrew Carmellini, it is a clandestine space that serves both theatregoers and locals alike.
